With Urban Decay hitting our shelves next month, I cannot contain my excitement! Like many of you, I have been dreaming of this for so long.
While we’re dreaming…let’s look at some of the other brands I wish would grace us with their presence…
If there was ever an answer to a cosmetic addicts prayers…Sephora would be it! Sephora doesn’t only have their own line of products, they also house almost 300 other brands in store…including some of my favourites.
So I’m cheating a bit here…but who cares? You can’t hear ‘Sephora’ without thinking ‘Youtube’ and I can’t think ‘Youtube’ without thinking ‘Nicole Guerriero’. Nicole Guerriero isn’t technically a brand, at least not a makeup brand, but there are so many products that she has endorsed which I wish would make their way to my beauty desk. Like the Nailhür nail sets, the Nicole Guerriero Gold Bellami hair tool kit and not to mention The Best Damn Beauty range (I really want to try that lip mask! Anybody else?)
There are three reasons I would like to see Anastasia Beverly Hills in SA: Brow Wiz, Dip Brow Pomade and the Contour Palette. Need I say more?
O!M!G! Like, Hello! Have you seen these lippies on Youtube? WOW! They are so pigmented.
Colourpop may have been ‘born’ yesterday but are definitely giving their competitors a run for their money. I want to try everything! Lippies, lipgloss, eye shadows…everything! Youtubers have been going craze about this brand and how pigmented their shadows are…
…talk about pigmented eye shadow. Makeup Geek is definitely on my ‘Makeup Bucket List’. I fall in love with Makeup Geek every time I see it on Youtube. Oooooh baby! It’s getting hot in here.
The Shade and Light Contour Palette and brush designed to go with it. There are a few other things too, but I’m too busy dreaming of these two items, so I can’t think further…
I am in love with BH Cosmetics makeup brushes. There are so many designs; from polka dots to stripes. I would also like to try the Carli Bybel Palette.
Another brand, I would like to see cross our boarders, is Milani. There can never be enough ‘Drug Store’ brands. Best known for baked powders. My heart skips a beat!
One of the most raved about brands. From beauty gurus to the kardashians…tarte has stolen the hearts (andbank accounts) of many! It is eco-friendly and cruelty free…AND designed to last up to 12 hours.
If there’s one NARS product that you’ve heard about, it has to be the NARS Orgasm blush. (Just the name would make some of us blush) and if you’re a bit more familiar with the brand, I’m sure you’d also want to dry the laguna bronzer.
Last year there were some rumors that e.l.f. was coming SA, this happened shortly after Urban Decay announced their plans. Yes, I fell for it…lol. If e.l.f. reads this: ‘Please mend our broken hearts by making it official. Yours sincerely, A Cosmetic Addict.’
Another brand where the list is endless. If I had to choose it would be their chocolate palettes and sweetheart blush. *DREAMING!*
There are many brands out there, but these are my top picks for now. Though they are not ‘officially’ available in South Africa, there are many ways to import them and some products are even available on various online stores…unfortunately, they come with quite a price tag.
Let me know of brands that you’re interested in seeing on our shelves…
