I am a big fan of Khloe Kardashian, although lately with her flaunting nudity so often…all the “literal” nakedness…it’s getting too much. (The girl’s still got style though).
Anyway, I purchased her book “Strong looks better naked”. There are no juicy stories (like with Kris’ book), it was more like a “girl chat” with a stranger. You know…those chats we where we only scrape the surface…so we say things without saying it…know what I’m saying? Good.
She touches on her relationship with Lamar which “drove” her to gym. She also explains how she changed her eating habits only after she had been hitting the gym for a while. (See, Rome wasn’t built in a day.) The most personal thing I found in the book was when she shared he feelings about her dad’s death, which was never a secret but the way she put it down on paper made it seem more real. She also touches on going to therapy with Lamar and how she struggled to get him there.
She shares some of her recipe’s which I am yet to try. She also shares some pics which show her transformation. (Some we’ve seen on social media, other’s not.)
All in all…I think with so much of her life in the public eye…I didn’t feel like I was reading anything I didn’t all ready know. There are minor things that was new but I felt like was watching another episode of KUWTK or some exclusive interview.
So…out of 10…
If you’re a Khloe Kardashian fan…I give it a 6.
If you’re not a Khloe Kardashian fan…I give it a 3.
I honestly wouldn’t go out of my way to purchase the book…especially if I was looking for inspiration. It didn’t make me wanna get up and eat healthy or gym. It was a heart to heart with a stranger…I’ll give you a taste but nothing more.
Don’t get me wrong…the girl looks good and she should be proud. I did like the idea that at the end of every chapter she had a specialist write a note; so at the end of “Body” her personal trainer wrote a little something; at the end of “Food” her dietitian wrote a little something…etc.
To quote Sister Act 2 “It was cool for what it was, but it wasn’t all that.”
